If you’re looking for one of the best mid-range weapons in CS2, look no further than the FAMAS. In fact, the only thing mid about the FAMAS is its range. We’ll even take it a step further. Want to know the best the FAMAS has to offer? And not just its cost-efficiency or deadly accuracy. We aren’t even talking about the burst or full auto modes.
We’re talking about its skins. Imagine having one of the best mid-range weapons sporting one of the best skins available. Not such a bad situation. So today, we’re counting down the top 10 famas skins in CS2.
And just to keep things suspenseful, we’re starting our list at number 10. There’s nothing worse than a countdown list beginning with the top pick. So, come along with us as we deep dive into the FAMAS and take a look at some of the best famas skins available today!
Before we begin our list, we want to take a quick overview of all famas skins available and examine some of the top features that make one particular skin better or more valuable than another.
In article you will find:
To date, there are 33 FAMAS skins available to choose from. Meaning that 66% of the skins are excluded from this list. Here’s a quick look at some statistical information about the famas skins:
Of course, any combination of the information listed above will affect the famas price, and skin prices fluctuate daily.
It’s not just the stats listed above that dictate the value of a skin. It can be a combination of many additional things:
Sentimental value can make a skin worth more to an individual. However, it doesn’t do much in terms of moving the needle when it comes to the actual famas price. For that reason, we’ll exclude that point from this list.
Skins in CS2 vary greatly from skin to skin. They can range from over-the-top designs to very simplistic color patterns. Often, a skin will have some sort of theme. We’ve tried to place the famas skins in the following themes according to the feeling those skins give us. Here they are:
You may feel a bit different about certain skins. Keep in mind that this information is subjective, and some skin can fit into multiple categories.
Aside from the design of the skin itself, the rarity and demand also have a lot to do with the value of the famas skins cs2. Out of all of the skins, here’s how the rarity breaks down:
Demand also plays a big role in determining a skin’s value. Follow the CS2 community to stay up-to-date with any current trends. And remember, rarity is not always the main factor in determining value. Just keep that in mind.

So, let’s jump right into it—the top-10 famas skins in CS2. Here’s a side note: FAMAS stands for Fusil d’Assaut de la Manufacture d’Armes de Saint-Étienne. We’re just happy they found a way to shorten that one. Anyway, starting off at number 10!
Coming in first but last on our list. Number 10
The ZX Spectron comes in at number 10 on our list for several reasons:
If you are looking for a good skin without spending a lot of money, the ZX Spectron skin is the way to go!
Added: September 22, 2021
Float value range: 0.00 – 1.00
StatTrak™ available: yes
Starting price: $1.24
Overall thoughts:We love the skin at any float level. And because of that, you’ll save money for another skin on this list. Did we mention we also love the “FAMAS” font sprinted across the clip? Takes us back to when times were easier!
Not last but still close. At number 9
Valence also has a very nice colorway. Maybe we just love bright colors? We place the Valence skin at number 9 because:
Though the entry point is about double what the cheapest ZX Spector costs, we still see the value here.
Added: February 18, 2016
Float value range: 0.00 to 0.80
StatTrak™ available: yes
Starting price: $2.57
Overall thoughts:It’s a buy for sure. We prefer the Battle-Scarred famas skin cs2. Which means it’s even cheaper. And the value of this skin has more than doubled since its launch date.
Number 8
There is something about the Crypsis skin we can’t really put our finger on. We understand it’s a very cliche concept: leaves and sticks create the camouflage look. However, we love it because:
The Crypsis skin has lost a lot of value since launching. However, at the current price point, does it really matter?
Added: March 14, 2019
Float value range: 0.00 – 0.55
StatTrak™ available: yes
Starting price: $0.13
Overall thoughts:If you don’t own the skin, you should. At just $0.13 for the Battle-Scarred version, you can open free cases on Hellcase and have enough to buy this in less than a week. Get to opening!
Styxing at number 7
The Styx skin is one of those skins you either love or hate. We had a tough time putting it at number 7. Here’s why we did:
Skulls and blood. Is there anything more fitting for a game where you try to take the other team out?
Added: August 8, 2014
Float value range: 0.00 to 0.60
StatTrak™ available: no, but Souvenir is available
Starting price: $2.75
Overall thoughts:Though it is the cheapest version, we’d stay away from the Battle-Scarred version. The float all but kills the entire design and feeling. If it weren’t for that, we may have placed this one with number 6.
Coming in at number 6
At first glance, the Roll Cage skin looks very similar to the skin in our number 7 position. In fact, they have a lot in common; the red, white, black, and tan colors. We also love:
The Roll Cage is a great example of how a basic design can give the viewer a certain feeling. And we feel that the number 6 position is perfect for the Roll Cage skin.
Added: August 19, 2016
Float value range: 0.00 to 1.00
StatTrak™ available: yes
Starting price: $2.35
Overall thoughts:This isn’t skin you should buy as an investment. The price remains relatively stable over time. However, the look and feel of the skin may just be worth spending a couple of bucks on.
Reaching the halfway point at number 5
The Prime Conspiracy skin gives off a very urban graffiti-type feeling. The deep blues and reds almost give off a vibrant feeling. We love Prime Conspiracy at number 3 because:
Prime Conspiracy isn’t cheap. In fact, it’s rather pricey. However, at around $20 when it launched, this skin could be a great investment if the price trend continues.
Added: December 3, 2020
Float value range: 0.00 to 0.55
StatTrak™ available: no
Starting price: $92.01
Overall thoughts:If you have some extra cash to throw around, this skin may be one that you buy and hold on to for some time. A couple of years from now, you may be able to flip it and buy most of the skins on this list with your profit alone.
In at number 4
The Afterimage skin reminds us a lot of the urban, artsy feeling we got from the Prime Conspiracy skin, but better. With a continuous red, blue, and white paintbrush line and a very subtle honeycomb design, the Afterimage is a real sight.
We place it at number 4 on our list because:
We recommend spending a bit less and getting something cheaper than the Factory New version. It still looks good, and you can save a bit of money.
Added: December 18, 2013
Float value range: 0.02 to 0.40
StatTrak™ available: yes
Starting price: $18.56
Overall thoughts:We love this skin. The Battle-Worn may have a bit too much float. However, every other version is amazing.
It’s no secret which skin comes in at number 3
The Djinn is a skin we struggled to place at number 3. We love it. However, the two below seem to get more love within the CS2 community. The Djinn skin has a mystical and menacing aura that seems to improve as the float increases. We also love it because:
If you aren’t scared of creatures with horns, you should probably check this skin out.
Added: April 15, 2015
Float value range: 0.00 to 1.00
StatTrak™ available: yes
Starting price: $2.21
Overall thoughts:We honestly should have put this at number 2. However, our number 1 pick has a similar stylistic concept. And we didn’t want to put them side by side. Plus, number 2 is pretty good as well.
Almost best, but not. At number 2
The Meltdown skin has a very vibrant gold and black design splattered with nuclear symbols. We love this skin at number 2 because:
If you are looking for an investment, this is it. Not only is the skin pretty cool-looking, but it has increased in value by about 400%.
Added: September 22, 2021
Float value range: 0.00 to 0.40
StatTrak™ is available: no
Starting price: $37.39
Overall thoughts:Buy this one if you have the funds. It looks cool, and its value goes up. The float increases the themed effect. What more could you want? Well, maybe our number 1 pick!
The best and not the rest. Coming in at number 1
The Commemoration is our pick for the best famas skins. Known for its ornate gold design and war emblems, the Commemoration skin brings a sense of class and sophistication. It’s our top pick because:
This is by far the FAMAS skin you should buy first.
Added: October 18, 2019
Float value range: 0.00 to 0.50
StatTrak™ is available: yes
Starting price: $8.46
Overall thoughts:Of course, there are cheaper skins on our list. However, if you have some extra cash, jump on this skin now before the price rises again.
Believe it or not, the most expensive FAMAS skin in CS2 is the Souvenir version of the Teardown skin. It commemorates the 2013 DreamHack SteelSeries CS:GO Championship and was dropped during the Exhibition match between Team Duncan and Team Tomi.
The prices seem to range from around $300 to over $1,000, with the Battle-Scarred version being the most expensive. As expensive as it may be, the most expensive FAMAS skin does not appear on our top-10 list.
Boom. That’s our top-10 list! Whether you agree on our order, one thing for sure, you can agree that the FAMAS definitely has some legit skins. Our personal favorite is, of course, our number one pick, the Commemoration skin. What a thing of beauty! Be sure to pick one up or any other skin on our list at Hellcase.com!
In Counter-Strike 2 (CS2), the FAMAS costs $2,050 and is a go-to option for the Counter-Terrorist side when you’re short on cash. It’s often picked as a budget-friendly alternative to the M4A4 or M4A1-S.
Is the FAMAS Worth Using CS2?We think so. The FAMAS is considered a solid choice for budget rounds due to its:
Affordability: It is cheaper than the M4 rifles, allowing players to buy armor and utility when they are strapped for cash.
Versatility: The FAMAS offers both burst-fire and automatic modes, which makes it flexible in different combat scenarios.
Damage and Accuracy: It’s not as powerful or accurate as the M4, the FAMAS still performs well in medium-range engagements, making it a good value for its price.
The best of all famas skins is a very subjective question. However, in our opinion, the best famas skin is the Commemoration skin because:
We love the design. If pirates still ruled the seas, this is what they would carry.
As the float increases, the design aspects we love seem to pop out even more.
The price is currently down, which presents a great buying opportunity.
